türmchen incense burners

A short and playful study in diverting stone like granite and travertine from landfills. Türmchen (little towers) were inspired by the game Jenga and the desire to confront the minimalism of traditional incense holders. Partnering with local quarries and fabricators, we take the stone they would normally send to landfills clean and transform them into small pieces like these limited edition incense burners//holders. This is one of two pieces, we’ve created from diverted stone. The other piece utilizing diverted stone is our Luna Tabouret.
