Exclusive for Cafe Mars
A Memphis design inspired chair designed for Cafe Mars, an unusual Italian restaurant in Brooklyn, NYC. The seat features a slight v shape, while the back has a gentle slope. The seat design is one of my favorite features of this chair as it greatly increased the comfort of the seat and is a design move I plan to incorporate in future chairs. The Phobos incorporates a U-shaped leg, mirroring the back in a fun and playful way. The chair is made of solid beech and painted with a custom neon pink paint that was hand-mixed for the restaurant and ties together the colorful and inviting atmosphere throughout the space. While this design is exclusive to Cafe Mars, our Deimos chair is similar and available to the general public.
